The Bravo Piano Academy believes that music is transformative and empowers both our lives and communities. We support each piano learner's unique motivations for engaging with the instrument. We offer students and their families a fun, safe, and supportive community space that fosters creativity and interest, builds confidence, and provides an exciting way to learn the music they love.
Meet Toshiko Mohr
As the founder of the Bravo Piano Academy, a boutique music school, Toshiko Mohr grew up studying piano in Japan. My love for the piano began when I was 3 years old. Over the past 20 years, I have taught more than 200 students in La Canada Flintridge and the surrounding areas. I continue to enjoy playing, teaching, and exploring different methods related to piano and the broader study of music.
Our Method
The Bravo Piano Academy nurture and develop students' curiosity and sense of discovery through learning to play piano. Letting them experience sound differences, touch differences, feel the rhythm and expressions. Incorporating Dalcroze eurythmics would help to feel the rhythm, imagine the expression of performance and music theory with activities. We support their practices for their steady progress.
Most students have a history of continuing their lessons for over 10 years.
