Policy
These policies help to create an environment for students to make steady progress.
Starting the Lessons
You may sign up for lessons at any time. I will coordinate the schedule when you sign up to start lessons. If there are no openings, you can be added to the waiting list, if you would like. To schedule lessons, please reply to confirm at your earliest convenience. If you're not ready to schedule just yet, kindly let me know. Please note that the schedule I offered will not be guaranteed until I receive both your schedule confirmation and payment.
Student Absence and Make-up Lessons
To be eligible for a courtesy make-up lesson, please inform me of your absence via email, text, or phone call at least 24 hours before your scheduled lesson. Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance will be considered a completed lesson. In the case of an unforeseen illness, accident, or emergency, please contact me as soon as possible. I will do my best to reschedule based on the next available openings or it will be credited to the following month.
Instructor Absences
If I am unable to teach an in-person lesson, I will offer to conduct it online instead. If I cannot teach at all, I will reschedule the lesson based on available openings. If we cannot coordinate a make-up lesson that fits your schedule, I will credit the lesson to the following month.
Be on Time
Please arrive on time, as I cannot extend the lesson for tardiness. Students arriving more than half of their lesson period late will be considered as having missed the lesson.
Tuition
Private lessons and semi-private lessons are billed monthly, with payments due on the 1st of each month. The Music Exploration Class is billed on a semester basis, with payment due on the 1st of the month in which the semester begins. To secure your schedule, please complete both confirmation and payment. Lessons can only begin once payment has been received.
